“The open sea,

at last,”

hopes cast;

vast

like waves

pushing me

further to

new horizons.

My compass?

The night sky;

specifically,

Orion.

Days spent,

in amazement

at wonders

I wouldn’t see coming.

“…I just feel…

something…”

One night,

I lay awake

wondering

what await;

it’s there our rafts

collided

as if by

our own

arrangment

of fate.

Somehow on time,

with the illusion

of being late.

“How are you

doing?”

I asked;

but what I meant

was,

“Where have you

been?”

As we both came

to sea,

to see,

we’re each other’s

destination

on the horizon.

“I’ve always

wondered about you,”

you said; and I

always felt the same.

The spell was cast

when you smiled

while saying my

name.

Curious, to know

just how you found me;

you said,

“I’ve always looked up

towards Orion.”

“Lillian,

I’ve wished on

a million stars

for me to be granted a clue.

“Never did I imagine

that all of my wishing,

was pushing me towards you.”

A smile;

that smile

that makes me

instantly feel

at home;

followed by a kiss,

softer smile

with the scrunch

of your nose.

“We’ve always been

meant to,

set sail,

discover,

together.

Guide each other

through the highs and lows.”

This is only

the beginning,

of the journey.

I can’t help but stare

at you in

awe.

“…What?”

You ask,

with a curious

smile.

“I just,

everything

I thought I knew

or wanted

had to be taken

out of my mind;

had to be forgotten

and gone.

“In order for us

to come together

in true forever,

on this journey we’re on.”

With you

and me

together at last;

love guides us to

“Orion and beyond.”
